Thermacell ICF is Fire-retardant Polystyrene Formwork for casting concrete structures.
The blocks have keyways top and bottom and push together like “LEGO” blocks. The blocks are hollow and are filled with concrete.

To demonstrate the strength of the concrete core of our various block sizes, we stripped away the foam blockwork to show the concrete core.
In actual practice, the polystyrene blockwork is never stripped away as, the polystyrene blockwork encases the concrete core insulating it from heat and cold exchanges and which prevents expansion and contraction in the walls. That is why we do not need expansion joints in any of our walls or buildings.

NOTE: The deep sideways flow of concrete every 250mm in height. This is what gives great sideways strength in our walls which is necessary for long streaches of walls and for retaining walls and swimming pools.
